WATCH MOVIES

How do I watch movies on SCARYO?

To watch movies on SCARYO, you must first create a free membership - i.e. a member profile.
Once you are registered as a member, there are two ways you can watch movies.

1: Subscription
If you buy a subscription for DKK 69/month. you get access to the vast majority of our films. There are some brand new and selected films that due to rights we are not allowed to offer as part of the subscription, so you have the option to rent them individually.

2: Rental movie
All our films can be rented individually when you are registered as a member. They typically cost between DKK 10-49/film - and then the film is available for 3 days. Once you start playback, you have 24 hours to finish watching it.
We want you to be able to choose whether you want a subscription or simply rent a single film.

Why can't I watch all movies with a subscription?

It is the individual distributors we work with who decide which films we may offer as part of the subscription. You can watch the vast majority of our films with a subscription, but there are new and selected films that we do not have the rights to offer as part of the subscription. You can rent these films individually. However, some of these will be continuously added to the subscription.

After all, we think that it is better to have them for rent on the service - than not to have them at all.

How many movies do you have?

At SCARYO you can currently find approx. 500 movies. We are constantly making new agreements with new distributors and therefore more films are added every single month. We WANT to be the biggest in horror, horror and thriller and our goal is always to have thousands of movies on the service.




PLAYBACK

My film freezes all the time - or "buffering"?

Even if you have a fast internet connection, there may be a problem with the playback.
- Try restarting your device, e.g. computer or phone.
- Make sure your browser and operating system are up to date.
- Reset router and modem by pressing the "Reset" button for 10 seconds, or switch off completely for 10 seconds.

If it doesn't work, contact us so we can try to solve it together.

PAYMENT

How can I pay on SCARYO?

You can pay for both subscription and rental films with the following means of payment:
MobilePay, Dankort, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro.
If you are a subscriber, your subscription will automatically be renewed every month - via the form of payment you paid with the first time.



Why can't I pay directly in the app?

The app provider takes up to 30% of the price when you, as a customer, shop in the app.
This will really mean that renting through the app is an expense for us, so it doesn't really work.
We have so far opted out of taking an extra price in the app - as some services do.
So you must go to the website and activate your subscription or rent the individual films.
You can then watch movies in the app.



Why do I have no right of withdrawal?

When you buy or rent an online product and immediately get access to use the product, there is no right of withdrawal- according to the Purchase Legislation.

I have received an email saying that you could not withdraw the payment for my subscription?

Every month we withdraw the money automatically and if the payment failed, we will try again in the next few days.

If you receive an email that the payment has failed, you should do the following:
- Check that your payment card is active and that there is money in the account.
- If this does not solve the problem, you can add another card under Card information:

If the payment does not go through within a few days, the subscription will be closed.



My payment doesn't go through when I try to rent a movie?
If the payment does not go through, try using a different browser.
If you use card payment and it doesn't work, try paying with MobilePay.

In addition, you can do the following:
- Check that your payment card is active and that there is money in the account.
- Try adding another card under Card details:

Can I see my past rental and subscription payments?
Yes, if you click on the profile icon in the upper right corner when you are logged in,
then in the menu that appears there will be a link to your purchase history.
Here you can see all previous payments and download receipts.



APPS

What apps do you have?

We currently only have an app for iOS (iPhone and iPad). At a later date there will be
apps for e.g. Android and Samsung TV. We can't say when exactly they will be ready yet, but we promise to let everyone know when they arrive.

CHROME CAST / AIRPLAY

Can you use Chrome Cast and Airplay?

Yes, with SCARYO you can use both Chrome Cast and AirPlay, so you can "cast" movies from your phone, tablet or computer - to your TV.

Remember that you can cast directly from the Chrome browser to your TV.
